5 DAYS CAPE TOWN TOUR
(suggested itenary)
Below we have set out very briefly a suggested itinerary. Please
note that this is merely a suggested schedule and can be amended to suit the particular
interests of the clients.
The tour times are from 09:30am until 06:00 pm.
The tour price (R950/R1300) will include the cost of the vehicle hire (an air-conditioned Toyota Corolla Sedan/Toyota Quantum van),
the driver for the duration of the day and fuel charges. Please note that all entrance fees,
activity fees and meals are not included in the tour price.
Please note that we will not charge for the return airport transfer should you book two or
more tours with us. The pick-up from the airport, upon arrival, will however be charged for.
Day 1: Airport Pick-Up
The Getaway Station representatives will meet the clients on arrival at the airport and they will be transferred to their apartments. The day can be spent at leisure to overcome jet lag.
Day 2: Cape Town City Tour
This tour includes a visit to the top of Table Mountain – the City’s most famous landmark, incredible city views from Signal Hill, the popular Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, Robben Island (the former prison that housed Nelson Mandela and other political activists), a scenic drive past Parliament Buildings, City Hall, Bo Kaap (the Malay quarter) and a visit to Green Market Square (the traditional African craft market).
Day 3: Peninsula Tour
Includes Chapmans Peak Drive, viewing the famous beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton, the seaside resort town of Hout Bay, Seal Island cruise, Cape Point where a funicular ride to a viewing platform reveals stunning ocean views as well as mountainous and scenic landforms, a visit to a gemstone factory, the unique navy base of Simonstown, Penguin Colony, and the laid back seaside towns of Kalk Bay, and Muizenberg.
Day 4: Country Tour
Includes the charming French town of Franshoek in the Cape winelands, the vibrant town of Stellenbosch which contains well preserved Cape-Dutch style architecture and is surrounded by spectacular mountains, the Cheetah Outreach Project at Spier (where one can pet the Cheetas), Butterfly World to experience a tropical garden in a 1000 square metre green house
that contains resting butterflies, exotic spiders and scary scorpions, and a visit to the Lion Park for close-up views of one of the Big-5.
Day 5: Return Airport Transfer
The Getaway Station representatives will transfer tourists to the airport for the return flight.
Additional tours can be included depending on clients’ arrival and departure flight times. We can provide further tour options including shopping tours, a visit to the botanical gardens, whale watching or Islamic mazaars and mosques tours.
Please note that a 50% deposit of the quoted price must be paid in advance. The balance must be paid on arrival.
The above attractions are weather permitting and cannot be guaranteed for the days on which we have proposed them.
Tickets to Robben Island must be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
